Laurie’s PhD research compared adopters with non-adopters of two different peer-to-peer shared mobility platforms: carsharing and ridesharing. By comparing the two groups, she was able to tease out the factors explaining uptake, and so develop realistic scenario projections of how shared mobility can contribute to reducing emissions in the transport sector.
