Laurie Kerr, a SILCI PhD researcher, recently participated the 6th International Workshop on the Sharing Economy, held in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

The 3 day event brought together over 100 attendees from academia, local government, and businesses.  During the series of thematic parallel sessions, participants shared and discussed their insights into different themes of sharing economy, including the roles of trust and cooperation, environmental benefits, social impacts, legal issues and business model design.

Laurie presented her work in progress in the ‘participation’ parallel session.  The SILCI project is exploring consumer-facing, low carbon innovations, with particular attention on the early adopters of these innovations.  Laurie’s slides are available here.
