Charlie Wilson travelled to Portugal to present findings from the SILCI project at a conference on ‘Rapid and Deep Decarbonisation’ in Viseu, an old city of 250,000 inhabitants in the middle of the country. The conference was opened by the city mayor who presented a compelling vision of Viseu as a smart city of the future, and a pioneering city in the Portuguese context.
